From U10 we join the Sydney Junior Rugby Union (SJRU) competition. Junior Rugby has Sydney-wide competitions that are graded (A to G). Grading is important because it means kids of similar ability are graded to play against one another maximising safety and enjoyment. SJRU also has a weight policy, which means boys that are over (or under) weight thresholds are assessed for safety reasons.

The U10 and U11 age groups play 12 a side games and on a full-length field, although narrower. The games are fully contested but the rules of the game have been modified in order to create exciting rugby for both the players and the spectators.

Games are played on either Friday night or Sunday and are played at venues from Drummoyne to Hornsby across to Newport and down to Mosman.

Raiders field multiple teams per age group across Under 10 to Under 13. Boys aged over 13 years old are encouraged to register and play for Manly Savers which provides the best pathway to retain teenage boys in junior club rugby.

Registration is available online or via the Rugby Xplorer App. Choose XVs Junior as the registration type.
